Introduction

A peaceful escape for body, mind and soul

Environmentally conscious by design, we strive towards a ‘no plastic’ goal throughout the hotel. Filtered water (no plastic bottles) is always available and we use toiletry dispensers to avoid the waste associated with individual bottles. Health and wellbeing are paramount, so we have invested in natural, leafy plants for every room in the hotel to aid in oxygen production and overall wellness for both our guests and our team of hosts.

Design Story

Combining present day wonder with a magical past

Interior spaces have been designed as an ode to the hotel’s past famous residents, with inspiration taken from the likes of Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of penicillin; the inventor of long-distance radio, Guglielmo Marconi; renowned naturalist, William Henry Hudson and the author of Peter Pan, JM Barrie.

The space encourages guests to relax and feel fully at peace, while cleverly designed special touches throughout the hotel captivate your imagination and excite your creative side. This is not a hotel to simply sleep in. It is a place to rest, be spoilt and explore.

Things we love

Sweet treats all day long

We like to spoil and surprise our guests with non-conventional extras that will add to the experience of their stay. We don’t believe in breakfast tea or afternoon tea; we believe in ‘anytime tea’ and in indulging in treats whenever the desire takes you! Sweet treats are available all day long and there’s a selection of delicious Teapigs teas, as well as a choice of Nespresso coffee pods to choose from.

Teapigs Tea

We love our tea and we love Teapigs Tea. It is all about the flavour. The whole leaves, berries, herbs and spices in the ‘tea temples’ have been handled gently, and with love, to maintain every drop of the precious flavour.

Owned by a self-proclaimed ‘tea evangelist’ and a ‘tea-addict-not-seeking-rehab,’ this delightful company make teas to suit all palettes and moods too! Which of our colourful blends would you pick? You’ll relate to each mug – try it yourself, throughout your stay!

Rituals

With a philosophy like ‘Turn daily routines into meaningful rituals’, we love Rituals. We are currently coveting their Hammam range for our bathroom experience. The hammam is one of the oldest cleansing traditions in the world – great for the body and soul.

Your mini-private spa experience, every day, during your stay at Kensington Court Hotel Notting Hill. Every wash turns into a mindful moment with the unmistakable scent of eucalyptus and rosemary.

Patch Plants

Plants bring homes to life – surround yourself with nature, even while you sleep. Patch taught us to understand the health benefits of the plants we have. We have ‘Susie’ dotted around the hotel because of its natural capacity to remove toxins from its immediate environment – NASA says so too!

Nespresso

We have a feel good capsule for each personality and each cuppa. We love Nespresso because of their passion for the bean and for their sustainable quality. A Nespresso cup of coffee can deliver an extraordinary experience while creating greater value for society and the environment.

"The Hotel was to a high standard, rooms were clean with modern decor. The service was amazing, the only minor issue we had was handled quickly and considerately by Frederica, absoloutely outstanding customer service. The Hotel had courtesy pastries on offer 24/7 with coffee and tea. The location was terrific for restaurants and close to a station. Was a stone throw away from Hyde Park also."

"What a great find. Great location and reasonably priced. On the evening I stayed it was significantly cheaper than a Premier Inn (booked at last minute). Thirteen rooms over three floors - steep stairs and no lift, so watch out for that if you'd struggle with stairs. Small reception area with free tea and coffee and pastries in the morning as there's no breakfast room here. Teapigs tea too which is a nice touch. Room 12 was comfortable. Liked having a window I could open wide. Tea and coffee making facilities, ironing board, hair dryer and radio in the room. Comfortable bed, small but lovely bathroom with nice products. Would definitely stay here again and the staff are very helpful and friendly."
